About The Owner!
Family Comes First
That belief was at the forefront of my mind when I decided to enter the cannabis business, ultimately changing the course of my career—and my life.
I’m not the first to realize that the old “American Dream” has led many people to sacrifice time with their families for the sake of their careers. Today, 50-hour workweeks are the new 40, juggling multiple jobs is becoming the norm, and the average retirement age keeps climbing. The result? A work-life balance that feels nearly impossible to achieve. I didn’t fully understand that reality until I started my own family.
My Story Begins in 2023
Between a new mortgage, being the sole provider for my family, and the skyrocketing cost of living, I was barely making ends meet, despite working extra hours. Exhaustion became my normal, and yet, I had nothing to show for it. No real progress. No sense of fulfillment.
By mid-year, I had had enough. I found a higher-paying job, but it only pulled me further from home. I was working more hours than ever before. Financially, I was starting to see some improvement, but something far more important was slipping away—precious time with my partner and our child. The realization hit hard. My family needed me, and I needed them. That was my breakthrough moment. I decided to pursue something I enjoyed—something my family could be a part of—hoping it could grow into a source of income.
The Path To Cannabis
Growing cannabis was never in the plan. In fact, it wasn’t even my first attempt at a side hustle.
I tried social media, but I couldn’t stick to one niche. It wasn’t sustainable. Then I turned to woodworking. Surprisingly, I did well, even as a beginner. Supportive family members bought my pieces, but my reach never extended beyond them. Eventually, that plan fizzled out too.
After two failed attempts, I felt like a failure. I was ready to scrap the idea of self-employment altogether.
So, how did I go from giving up to owning a small cannabis business just months later? The answer might surprise you—especially since I was once against cannabis in all forms.
A Shift In Perspective
It felt like the stars aligned. Over the past year, I had noticed smoke shops and CBD stores popping up everywhere in my small town. Why? What made cannabis so popular? How could something so recently legalized be in such high demand?
Curious, I started researching. I even confided in my partner, who had experience with cannabis. That’s when I realized cannabis wasn’t the “gateway drug” I had always been told it was. In fact, it had medicinal properties and potential mental health benefits.
The more I learned—the different strains, the uses, the success stories of small-scale growers—the more intrigued I became. That was it. That was my answer. I decided to become a licensed hemp farmer and pour everything I had into this new venture.
From First Grow to Full Commitment
In October 2023, I officially registered and became licensed as a hemp grower. That same month, I started my first indoor grow.
Having just grown cherry tomatoes that summer, I already knew I enjoyed tending to plants—but I never expected to develop such a passion for cultivating cannabis. It’s a meticulous process, with each plant requiring specific nutrients and care. But watching them thrive under my hands? It’s incredibly rewarding.
I chose to grow indoors using a grow tent. allowing me full control over every aspect of the process. No pesticides. No pests damaging the plants. Just pure, naturally cultivated flower of the highest quality—because that’s what my future customers deserve.
Looking Ahead
My short-term goal is to expand my grow space, increase production, and transition to working on my business full-time. More than anything, I want to spend as much time with my family as possible. Once that happens, I’ll know I’ve built something truly worthwhile—not just for myself, but for my family and customers alike.
And in the (hopefully) not-so-distant future, as soon as Wisconsin allows it, I plan to grow the bigger, better, stronger cannabis—so that there’s a little something for everyone.
With your support, I know this dream will become a reality. And for that, I sincerely thank you.
